Boulemberg and the environment
What is Boulemberg's stance on the environment?
Boulemberg is a pioneering company in ecological choices. We place significant importance, among other things, on the use of wood for window frames. Wood is an interesting material both in terms of its environmental impact and its thermal performance. It is also a 100% recyclable material. Therefore, we prioritize using wood from sustainably managed European forests, such as chestnut wood, which we particularly favor.
By adhering to FSC® and PEFC certifications, Boulemberg guarantees that the wood used in its workshops comes from ecological sources. This allows our customers to choose environmentally friendly wood products, with the assurance that forests are managed according to strict sustainability standards.
In summary, an operation is considered "sustainable" when the extraction of materials from the environment corresponds to a simultaneously produced new quantity. We do not favor the use of exotic woods: the abusive exploitation of tropical forests threatens the virgin forests, which are the richest biotopes in species on the planet, as well as the local populations.
Moreover, for wood coloring, modern spraying techniques are ecological and environmentally friendly. Ultimately, wooden frames are durable products, consistently high-quality, and guaranteed for many years.
